Purrfect Day Cat Cafe is Louisville, Kentucky’s first cat cafe. I was hired as the graphic designer for everything Purrfect Day, and my work has been shown to thousands upon thousands of visitors, adopters, and cat people alike.
Since our opening on August 8th of 2018, we’ve had the most adoptions out of any cat cafe in the United States.
The “Feline Founders Club” was a club you could join at the cafe’s opening to sponsor the cafe, get a free t-shirt, and access to the cat room before the general public could. This shirt was given out to more than 200 applicants in the Feline Founders Club.
Along with creating shirts and various swag items for the cafe, I was tasked with creating, designing, and naming items for the cafe’s menu. Although this section was most challenging, I also believe it was the most fun to create.
Many people who visit Purrfect Day Cafe aren’t really sure what a cat cafe is. I made this brochure to inform visitors about the cafe, instruct them on how to book an appointment, and explain how we help thousands of kittens get adopted.
Despite the cat cafe being a place for cat lovers alike, some people coming don’t exactly know how to interact with cats. Because of this confusion, I illustrated and organized these informational posters for those who want to know exactly what the cute kitty in your lap is thinking.
The next deliverable for Purrfect Day Cafe was merchandise! We decided to create a set of ‘Lifestyle’ stickers that were cute and relatable to all types of cat lovers.
As Purrfect Day Cafe begins to expand into its second location, I was asked to make some fresh, new merchandise for the Covington cafe.
